A meeting and dinner of opposition political party leaders was held at a private hotel in Colombo last Thursday night (02), with the notable presence of the VIII Executive President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The event, organized on the invitation of United National Party (UNP) Chairman Vajira Abeywardena, brought together leaders representing more than 25 political parties.
During the discussions, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) National Organizer Namal Rajapaksa and Professor G.L. Peiris outlined their positions on future political activities.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on organizing a public rally in Colombo under the leadership of the Joint Opposition.
