In a post on his official X account, the President said such acts of intimidation are unacceptable and must not be tolerated. He stressed that targeting a humanitarian convoy delivering relief to a population deprived of freedom and basic necessities constitutes a grave affront to humanity and a flagrant breach of international law.
President Dr Muizzu further noted that Israel’s persistent disregard for human dignity, showing neither mercy nor compassion, has only deepened its isolation from the rest of the world.
Underscoring the urgent need for accountability, the President urged the international community to take decisive action against Israel’s gross and repeated violations of international law, which he said extend far beyond the bounds of humanity’s shared moral compass.
He reaffirmed that the Maldives stands in unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle for human rights, justice, peace, and security.
