The Colombo High Court has ordered that the case filed by the Bribery Commission against former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, his wife, three daughters, and son-in-law over the alleged illegal acquisition of assets and properties worth nearly Rs. 97 million be taken up for further pre-trial hearing on October 15, 2025.

The defendants, including Rambukwella, appeared before Colombo High Court Judge Mohamed Mihal today (01) as the case was called for hearing.

The court’s decision followed careful consideration of the arguments presented by the Bribery Commission officers and the defense lawyers representing the accused.

The case involves serious allegations of illicit wealth accumulation and misuse of power, which has attracted significant public attention.
