According to the invitation of the Japanese government, a breakfast was held at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo today (30) for President Anura Kumara Dissanayake who was on an official visit to the country.

Japan-Sri Lanka Parliamentary League President Yoshitaka Shindo (Yoshitaka Shindo) and Secretary General Yuko Obuchi (Yuko Obuchi) expressed here that they are looking to work closely with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to further strengthen the ongoing solidarity among members of the two countries parliamentary.

He also said that the two countries are working to strengthen solidarity through the political, economic and cultural sectors for mutual benefits.

The Japan-Sri Lanka Parliamentary League was established in 1982 under the initiative of former Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Keizo Obuchi (Keizo Obuchi).

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Vijitha Herath, Professor Piwithu Janak Kumarasinghe, Ambassador to Japan and members of the Japan-Sri Lanka Parliamentary League attended the event.

• A Breakfast Reception Held for the President

A breakfast reception was held today (30) at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo for President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who is on an official visit to Japan at the invitation of the Japanese government.

The reception was organized by the Japan-Sri Lanka Parliamentary League.

During the reception, the League's President, Mr. Yoshitaka Shindo, and its Secretary-General, Ms. Yuko Obuchi, expressed their commitment to working closely with President Dissanayake to further strengthen the cooperative relationship between the members of the two countries' parliaments.

They further stated their intention to enhance collaboration in political, economic and cultural fields for the mutual benefit of both nations.

The Japan-Sri Lanka Parliamentary League originally established in 1982 under the leadership of the late former Prime Minister of Japan, Keizo Obuchi.

The event was attended by a distinguished gathering, including Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Vijitha Herath, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Japan, Professor Pivithuru Janak Kumarasinghe and members of the Japan-Sri Lanka Parliamentary League.
