According to reports, a private bus belonging to an apparel factory met with an accident between the 36th and 37th mileposts in Randenigala. Police said the mishap was caused by a sudden mechanical failure of the bus.
The injured passengers were rushed to the Kandeketiya District Hospital for treatment.
Further investigations into the incident are currently underway.
