Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe met his onetime political rival, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, today at Rajapaksa’s residence in Tangalle.
During the meeting, Wickremesinghe expressed gratitude to Rajapaksa for the support he extended when Wickremesinghe was arrested and remanded last month.
According to a statement from Wickremesinghe’s office, the visit took place while he was returning from a personal trip.
