India clinched a nail-biting victory over Sri Lanka in their Asia Cup 2025 Super Four clash in Dubai on Friday night, prevailing in a dramatic Super Over.

Both teams had finished level on 202 runs after their allotted 20 overs, taking the contest into a Super Over for the second time in succession between the two sides.

Sri Lanka, however, endured another heartbreak, collapsing for just two runs in their Super Over attempt. India chased the modest target with ease to secure a memorable win.

Pathum Nissanka was the standout performer for Sri Lanka, scoring his maiden T20 international century with a brilliant innings that kept his side in contention throughout the high-scoring encounter. Despite his heroics, Sri Lanka’s middle order faltered in the final overs, allowing India to claw back and force the tie.

With this victory, India strengthened their push for a place in the final, while Sri Lanka were left ruing another missed opportunity in a closely fought contest.
