Four third-year students of Wayamba University in Kuliyapitiya have been remanded until September 29 in connection with a ragging incident involving a second-year student.
The suspects, hailing from different parts of the country, were produced before the Kuliyapitiya Magistrate’s Court, which ordered their remand custody as investigations proceed.
Authorities have launched further inquiries into the case, with university officials and law enforcement stressing the seriousness of ragging-related offenses.
