The Railway Department announced that the E.B. Dabare Road level crossing, situated between Baseline Road and Narahenpita stations on the Kelani Valley railway line, will be temporarily closed for urgent maintenance work.
The closure will take effect from 8:00 p.m. tonight (24) and remain in place until 5:00 a.m. tomorrow (25). During this time, vehicular movement across the level crossing will be completely restricted.
Railway official G.D.A. Samarasinghe advised motorists to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.
