Southern Province Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Kithsiri Jayalath has made a public appeal for information related to ongoing drug trafficking activities in the region.
He urged citizens to assist law enforcement by reporting any relevant details through the dedicated police hotline 071-8591992.
Authorities confirmed that further investigations are currently underway to determine the origin of the narcotics and firearms seized during recent operations, as well as to identify those linked to the trafficking network.
Police stressed that public cooperation is vital to strengthening efforts against the spread of drugs and related criminal activities in the Southern Province.
