A sudden fire erupted in a building on 03rd Cross Street, Pettah, a short while ago.
The Colombo Fire Services Department said that five fire engines were dispatched to the scene to contain the blaze. Firefighters are currently engaged in dousing operations, while no casualties have been reported so far.
Authorities are yet to determine the cause of the fire.
