206 Children Taken Into Custody Over Drug Offences in Past Year

Police Media Spokesperson Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) F.U. Wootler stated that 28 children were identified as victims of sexual abuse via cyberspace within the same period.

He further noted that special police teams have been deployed in areas with vulnerable children to ensure their protection and safety.

According to the spokesperson, 118 women were also sexually abused online in the past year, highlighting the growing risks of cyber exploitation.

ASP Wootler emphasized that police continue to strengthen monitoring mechanisms to safeguard children and women from both drug-related issues and online abuse.
