Applications Open for 2025 (2026) GCE O/L Examination

The Ministry of Education has announced that applications for the 2025 (2026) G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination will be accepted online from 18 September to 09 October 2025.
According to the Ministry, all school candidates are required to submit their applications online through their respective school principals.
Meanwhile, private candidates must submit their applications in person, following the relevant guidelines issued by the Ministry. It was further emphasized that private applicants should use their National Identity Card (NIC) when applying for the examination.
Candidates who do not possess a NIC are permitted to apply using the NIC of a parent or guardian, the Ministry added.
