Heavy Rains and Dense Fog Disrupt Traffic in Central Highlands

Heavy rains accompanied by dense fog affected the western slopes of the Central Highlands yesterday (18) evening, disrupting normal traffic flow in several key areas.
According to reports, vehicular movement was hindered along the Hatton–Nuwara Eliya, Nuwara Eliya–Walimada, Nuwara Eliya–Gampola, and Hatton–Colombo main roads due to limited visibility and slippery conditions.
The Police have advised motorists to drive cautiously on these routes as the inclement weather continues to pose risks for road users.
