CID submits report on Kehelbaddara Padme to court

The report was presented before Colombo Additional Magistrate Lahiru Silva. The CID informed court that the suspect is currently being held on a remand order and that investigations are ongoing.

Police further told court that inquiries are underway to ascertain whether the suspect was involved in the murder of Ganemulla Sanjeewa.

When questioned by the Magistrate on whether the suspect has been presented before a judicial officer, investigators confirmed that the Fort Magistrate has already observed him.

Accordingly, Additional Magistrate Silva directed the CID to continue investigations into the suspect and submit progress reports to court.
