Opposition Leader seeks more time for assets declaration

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Gampaha District Organizer Waruna Deepatha Rajapaksa, releasing the related documents to the media, said Mr. Premadasa had already submitted his declaration of assets and liabilities to the Secretary General of Parliament on April 23, 2025. The declaration had thereafter been forwarded to CIABOC by Secretary General Kushani Rohanadeera.

However, CIABOC has requested the information in a digital format to facilitate its publication on the Commission’s official website. Accordingly, Mr. Premadasa had written to the Commission on September 10, 2025, seeking additional time to provide the declaration in the required format.

“Mr. Premadasa will submit his assets and liabilities digitally in the near future,” Mr. Rajapaksa assured.
