9-Hour Water Cut in Colombo and Suburbs

According to the NWSDB, the suspension is required as electricity supply to the main Thulumuhuwa pumping station, which supplies water to the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant, will be interrupted.

The water cut will be in effect from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18.

The affected areas include Colombo 01–15, Battaramulla, Pelawatta, Hokandara, Koswatta, Thalawathugoda, Kotte, Rajagiriya, Mirihana, Madivela, Nugegoda, Nawala, Kolonnawa, IDH, Kotikawatta, Angoda, Wellampitiya, Orugodawatta, Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, Dehiwala, Ratmalana, and Moratuwa.

The NWSDB urged the public to make necessary arrangements to minimize inconvenience during the water suspension.
