Woman Killed, Seven Injured in Southern Expressway Accident

The incident occurred between the Galanigama and Kahathuduwa interchanges when a van traveling from Galle to Colombo collided with the rear of a lorry.

Police said the injured included the driver of the van, a male passenger, and two women. They were admitted to the Homagama Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, three children injured in the crash were transferred to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital.

Investigations are underway by the expressway police to determine the cause of the accident.
