Pettah Central Bus Stand renovation kicks off

Renovation work on the Pettah Central Bus Stand has officially begun, marking the first major upgrade to the facility since its construction in 1964. The inauguration took place under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The long-overdue renovation, estimated to cost Rs. 424 million, aims to modernize one of Colombo’s busiest transport hubs.
The project includes the installation of new restrooms, advanced information and communication systems, upgraded security infrastructure, and other commuter-friendly facilities.
