Ilankai Tamil Arasu Party (ITAK) Batticaloa District Parliamentarian Gnanamuththu Srineshan was injured in a road accident today (14).
He has been admitted to the Batticaloa Hospital for treatment.
The accident occurred in the Kalawanchikudi area while the MP was returning to Batticaloa after attending a party meeting in Ampara. It was reported that the vehicle in which he was travelling collided with another vehicle.
Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
