Mahinda Rajapaksa to return to Colombo

Former Parliamentarian Sanjeewa Edirimanne said that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa will return to Colombo as soon as the necessary facilities are secured for his stay.
He said that providing facilities for the retirement of a former president is the responsibility of the state. According to him, the government’s decision in this regard has placed Mr. Rajapaksa in a “comfort zone.”
Edirimanne further charged that the present administration is not ready to give due recognition and proper value to the former president.
