Heat Advisory Issued for Several Provinces

The advisory, released today (13) at 3:30 p.m., will remain in effect until tomorrow (14). According to the Department, the heat index — the temperature felt on the human body may reach the “Caution” level in certain areas of the Northern, North-Central, and Eastern provinces, as well as in the Monaragala District.

Authorities have urged the public in these regions to remain hydrated by drinking plenty of water and to take special care of the elderly and those with health conditions
