Chinese Envoy Meets Former President Wickremesinghe

A special meeting between Sri Lanka’s 8th Executive President, Ranil Wickremesinghe, and the Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Qi Zhenhong, was held today at Wickremesinghe’s political office on Flower Road, Colombo.
According to reports, the meeting was convened at the request of the Chinese envoy. Discussions focused on Sri Lanka’s current political landscape and broader international developments.
Prior to this engagement, Ambassador Qi also met with former President Mahinda Rajapaksa at his Colombo residence for a similar round of talks.
