The Sri Lanka Police has officially announced the fees applicable for a range of services provided to the public.

According to the announcement, the following charges will be in effect:

Police Clearance Reports (for overseas travel and related real-time services) – Rs. 5,000.00

Broadcast Permit Fees:

  1. Up to 6 hours – Rs. 500.00
  2. From 6 to 12 hours – Rs. 1,000.00
  3. More than 12 hours – Rs. 2,000.00

Police Reports issued by divisional police stations for Middle Eastern countries – Rs. 500.00

Police Reports issued by the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) for domestic purposes – Rs. 300.00

Copies of complaints (per copy) – Rs. 50.00

The Police Department has urged the public to ensure they obtain official receipts for each of these payments when making use of the services.
