Fire Breaks Out at Sapugaskanda Refinery Fuel Tank

A fire has erupted in a fuel tank undergoing repairs at the Sapugaskanda Refinery, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) confirmed.
According to Police, fire engines from the refinery’s internal unit, along with teams from the fire brigade, are currently engaged in efforts to extinguish the blaze.
No casualties have been reported so far, while investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.
