SLAF conducts long-range medical evacuation Off Southern Coast

The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) carried out a long-range medical evacuation today from a merchant vessel located approximately 102 kilometers off the southern coast of the island.
The operation was conducted using a Bell 412 helicopter from No. 4 Squadron, based at SLAF Base Ratmalana. Upon receiving information about a medical emergency on board, the SLAF promptly deployed the aircraft to airlift the patient.
The SLAF said the patient was safely transferred from the vessel and handed over to medical authorities for further treatment.
