The Department of Motor Transport has reportedly been unable to issue number plates to more than 100,000 newly registered vehicles.
A department spokesperson said the delay is due to the suspension of number plate printing for the past six months.
Among the affected vehicles, motorcycles account for the largest share, with 127,745 registered. This is followed by 26,894 cars, 5,809 three-wheelers, 1,868 dual-purpose vehicles, and 2,122 land vehicles across various categories.
