79th Bradby Shield – 2nd Leg Kicks Off at Royal Sports Complex

This prestigious schools’ rugby clash, one of the oldest and most celebrated rivalries in Sri Lanka, has once again drawn large crowds of students, old boys, and rugby enthusiasts.

The Bradby Shield, first played in 1945, remains the pinnacle of Sri Lanka’s schools’ rugby calendar, showcasing the strength, skill, and tradition of both institutions. With the first leg already concluded in Kandy, today’s return clash in Colombo will decide the ultimate winner of this year’s series.

Security arrangements and special traffic plans have been implemented around the venue to accommodate the thousands of spectators expected to witness the historic encounter.
