Court of Appeal to Hear Gammanpila’s Petition Against Arrest Today

The Court of Appeal is set to consider today (4) a writ petition filed by former Minister Udaya Gammanpila seeking an interim order to prevent his arrest.
Gammanpila filed the petition under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) Act, requesting the court to issue an order preventing authorities from arresting him.
The petition is expected to be taken up before the Court of Appeal later today.
