She is scheduled to remain in the country until the 5th of September, marking the highest-level incoming visit from Italy to Sri Lanka in nearly a decade.
During her stay, Deputy Minister Tripodi is expected to call on Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya and hold bilateral discussions with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism Vijitha Herath.
A key highlight of the visit will be the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Establishment of a Political Consultations Mechanism, which will create a structured framework for regular dialogue between the two nations.
