He announced that licensed institutions capable of contributing to this requirement are being invited to participate in strengthening the sector.
The Deputy Minister further revealed that the National Cyber Security Operations Centre will be officially opened on September 10, under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
He made these remarks while attending the presentation ceremony of the first license for telecommunications infrastructure facilities, organized by the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA).
