The United National Party (UNP) has postponed its annual convention, which was scheduled to take place on Saturday (September 6), according to UNP General Secretary Thalatha Athukorala.

Mr. Athukorala stated that the decision was taken after considering the health condition of former President and party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe.

“The convention, however, will be held on another date within this month,” she confirmed.

The convention was expected to bring together party members from across the country to discuss future strategies and organizational matters. A new date is to be announced in the coming days.
