The Frontline Socialist Party (FSP) has accused members of the National People’s Power (NPP) of forcibly seizing its office on Kirindiwala Road, Yakkala, Gampaha. The FSP claims the group assaulted those present before taking control of the premises.

Police at the scene said the NPP had lodged a complaint claiming a court order over the property. However, FSP members argue that any such order should be executed under official supervision and insist the court has yet to deliver its verdict on ownership.

FSP’s Duminda Nagamuwa told reporters the property has been used for key party activities for over a decade and alleged the NPP had long sought to take it by “abusing their power.”
