Pathum Nissanka struck a brilliant 122 runs as Sri Lanka clinched a five-wicket victory in the second ODI against Zimbabwe, sealing a 2–0 series sweep.
Chasing 278, Sri Lanka reached the target with ease after Zimbabwe posted 277 for 7, led by Ben Curran (79) and Sikandar Raza (59). Dushmantha Chameera took three wickets for Sri Lanka.
The result reinforced Sri Lanka’s historical dominance in ODIs against Zimbabwe, with 50 wins from 65 matches, compared to Zimbabwe’s 12, and three no results.
The series will be followed by a three-match T20I contest beginning on September 3, 2025.
