
Sri Lankan Parliamentary Delegation Meets Indian Lok Sabha Speaker

Representatives of the Sri Lanka-Indian Parliamentary Friendship Association are on a tour of India from 26th to 30th.
They Met the Speaker of India Lok Sabha Mr. Om Birla during the visit, where the speaker stressed that through such visits will continue to strengthen the bilateral relationships between India and Sri Lanka, especially in the sectors of parliament cooperation, health, media and education.
Delegation of Sri Lanka-Indian Parliamentary Friendship Association, are engaged in Indian visit from 26th to 30th.
Discussions on key departments such as Lokalavai and Government Council, visiting the council conference and parliamentary library, role of Indian media, parliamentary committee, higher education, public health, parliamentary privileges and protocols took place in the program organized for delegates.
The delegation visited the Health Excellence in Health (Centre for Excellence in Health), discussions with the senior officers of the Association of Trade and Industry (FICCI).
On this visit, Speaker of Indian People Mr. With meeting Om Birla, the speaker, also mentioned that through such tours, bilateral relations will strengthen between India and Sri Lanka, especially in parliamentary cooperation, health, media and education.
