All Ceylon Jamiatul Ulama Elects New Executive Committee

The election of the new Executive Committee of the All Ceylon Jamiatul Ulama (ACJU) for the next three years was held on 30 August 2025 at the Wellawatte Jumma Mosque.

Prior to the election, members of the outgoing Executive Committee convened and elected Ash-Sheikh M.H.M. Burhan as the Interim President, while Ash-Sheikh S.H.M. Ismail Salafi and Ash-Sheikh A.H. Ihsanudeen were chosen as his deputies.

Following this, the Executive Committee that served from 2022 to August 2025 was officially dissolved. In accordance with the constitution of the Jamiath, more than 90 Central Committee members participated in the election and elected a new 30-member Executive Committee for the 2025–2028 term.

Out of the 30 elected members, 11 office-bearers were appointed as follows:
