SLMA to Send Health Message Greeting Cards to Citizens Turning 50

The Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA) has announced that it will begin sending special greeting cards carrying health messages to every citizen and professional in the country upon reaching the age of 50.

The decision was revealed during a special conference jointly organized by the SLMA and the Organization of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka, held at the SLMA Auditorium. The conference focused on the theme “Industry, Climate, and Health for a Sustainable Future.”

State Minister of Health Dr. Hansaka Wijemuni attended the event as the chief guest. Speaking at the conference, officials highlighted that the initiative aims to promote healthier lifestyles and raise awareness on preventive healthcare among senior citizens.

The conference also featured discussions on several other important matters concerning public health, climate challenges, and sustainable development
