Sri Lanka Set Zimbabwe 299-Run Target in First ODI

Sri Lanka have posted 298 for 6 in their 50 overs in the opening match of the ODI series against Zimbabwe.

Batting first after being invited by Zimbabwe, the Sri Lankan innings was anchored by Pathum Nissanka (76), Kamindu Mendis (57), and Janith Liyanage, who remained unbeaten with a solid 70. Kusal Mendis contributed 38, while Sadeera Samarawickrama added 35 runs to the total.

Zimbabwe’s bowling effort was led by Richard Ngarava, who took two wickets, while Blessing Muzarabani, Trevor Gwandu, Sikandar Raza, and Sean Williams picked up one each.

Zimbabwe now require 299 runs for victory.
