The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government has announced plans to introduce fingerprint machines across all state institutions.
Minister Dr. Chandana Abeyratne revealed that several government offices, including Divisional Secretariats, have already been equipped with the system.
The initiative is aimed at properly monitoring employee attendance and departures, while also reducing irregularities in duty reporting.
