Sri Lanka’s Exports Record Strong Growth in 2025

Sri Lanka’s export sector has recorded earnings of US$ 9,992.53 million from January to July 2025, marking a 7.79% increase compared to the same period last year.
According to the Export Development Board (EDB), July 2025 alone generated US$ 1,641.11 million, reflecting a 12.68% year-on-year growth.
EDB Chairman Mangala Wijesinghe noted that the growth highlights the success of strategic measures taken to enhance global competitiveness and expand market access for local exports.
