Competing in the senior division, Dilanka successfully lifted 111kg in the snatch and 138kg in the clean and jerk, recording a total of 249kg to claim third place in his category.
Meanwhile, another Sri Lankan lifter, Nipun Shehara, represented the country in the boys’ 60kg youth category. He managed 95kg in the snatch and 115kg in the clean and jerk, achieving a total of 210kg in his event.
The Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship featured intense competition across junior, youth, and senior divisions, showcasing emerging and elite talent from across the region.
