Seevali Arukgoda appointed as new Director General of Sri Lanka Customs

With this appointment, Arukgoda becomes the 45th Head of Sri Lanka Customs.

He began his career in 1989 as an Assistant Superintendent and holds the distinction of being the first officer in the history of the Department to rise through every rank and ultimately assume the top post of Director General.

According to a statement issued by Sri Lanka Customs, Arukgoda has contributed extensively to the service during his 36-year career, both locally and internationally. His close involvement with the World Customs Organization (WCO) has further enhanced the country’s profile in global customs affairs.
