Traffic Restrictions on Colombo–Galle Road for Seenigama Perahera

Police announced that traffic restrictions will be in place on the Colombo–Galle main road between Hikkaduwa and Kahawa from today (24) to August 26 due to the historic Seenigama Sri Maha Devol Devalaya Perahera.
The restrictions will apply today until 10.00 p.m., and on August 25 and 26 from 7.00 p.m. to 2.00 a.m.
During these hours, vehicular movement between Hikkaduwa and Kahawa will not be permitted. Alternative routes have been designated for vehicles travelling between Colombo and Galle to minimize inconvenience to the public.
