Ranil Wickremesinghe admitted to ICU at National Hospital

Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, currently in remand custody, has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the National Hospital in Colombo, hospital sources confirmed today (23).
Wickremesinghe was transferred to the National Hospital earlier in the day following medical assessments that recommended specialist treatment not available at the prison hospital.
He was initially admitted to the prison hospital yesterday after being remanded by court, citing multiple health complications.
