Asidisi Media Scholarships 2025 Awarded to 61 Journalists

A total of 61 journalists received scholarships this year, aimed at upgrading professional skills through academic and training opportunities.

The scheme is open to full-time and part-time journalists, freelancers, provincial correspondents, web journalists, and media technicians who have served at least three years in recognized media institutions. Scholarships are provided on a non-repayable basis.

Recipients pursuing degree or postgraduate programs will receive Rs. 200,000, while those enrolling in certificate or advanced diploma courses will be entitled to Rs. 100,000. The government has allocated Rs. 7 million to fund this initiative, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the country’s media sector.
