Sri Lanka’s musical heritage received a heartfelt tribute today (22) when the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) officially named its 09th studio after the nation’s beloved songstress, Dr. Nanda Malini.
The new “Dr. Nanda Malini Studio” stands as a symbol of gratitude to an artiste whose voice has shaped generations, carrying the emotions, struggles, and beauty of Sri Lankan life through song.
At the ceremony, graced by Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, and SLBC Chairman Uditha Gayashan Gunasekara, the atmosphere was filled with admiration for a woman who has become an icon of resilience and artistry.
