Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa held discussions with renowned Singaporean diplomat Kishore Mahbubani at the Asian Research Institute of the National University of Singapore.
The talks focused on policy formulation, governance, and peacebuilding, with Premadasa highlighting lessons Sri Lanka could learn from Singapore’s economic transformation. He also invited Mahbubani to collaborate with Sri Lankan leaders and policymakers in developing people-centered policies and building human capacity.
Mahbubani, a former Permanent Representative of Singapore to the UN and founding Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, has twice served as President of the UN Security Council.
