A Sri Lankan national has been arrested in Malaysia on charges of drug trafficking, along with two Malaysian nationals, foreign media reported.

A Sri Lankan national has been arrested in Malaysia on charges of drug trafficking, along with two Malaysian nationals, foreign media reported.

The arrests were made in the Bukit Thamban area following a raid on a drug manufacturing facility operated from a house, based on intelligence gathered by the Penang Narcotics Crime Investigation Bureau.

Malaysian media reported that a stock of various types of drugs, including heroin, was seized from the location. In addition, four luxury cars belonging to the suspects were also taken into police custody.

The three suspects were produced before court and have been remanded until the 19th, according to reports.
