Train Derails Near Ginthota, Coastal Line Services Disrupted

Train services along the Coastal Railway Line have been severely disrupted following a derailment reported near the Ginthota railway station today.
The incident involved the ‘Galu Kumari’ express train (No. 8056), which had been operating from Maradana to Beliatta. The train is reported to have gone off the tracks, causing damage to a section of the railway line.
As a result, railway authorities have restricted train operations on the Coastal Line up to the Ambalangoda railway station until further notice.
