Colombo Dockyard PLC has delivered the eighth vessel in its 5,000 DWT Eco Bulk Carrier series, 'Misje Lily', to Misje Eco Bulk AS of Norway, marking another milestone in the ongoing partnership between the two companies.

The delivery follows the handover of the first vessel in September 2022, with subsequent ships completed with increasing efficiency. The latest vessel underscores Colombo Dockyard’s capability to meet international standards and deliver on schedule.

The 89.95-metre, DNV-classed Misje Lily was designed by Wartsila Ship Design Norway, with detailed engineering by Colombo Dockyard’s in-house design team.

Equipped with an advanced energy storage battery system (ESS) for electric hybrid propulsion, the vessel aligns with current sustainability trends in shipping, reducing emissions while enhancing performance.
